Marine life encounters 

The Galápagos’ marine environment is one of the most biologically rich on Earth. Seymour Daphne is home to an incredible array of marine species. Glide alongside playful sea lions, observe schools of vibrant fish, and encounter large pelagics such as graceful eagle rays and schools of hammerhead sharks. The island's waters also attract Galápagos turtles, reef sharks, and, depending on the season, whale sharks. With the chance to observe both endemic and migratory species, every dive at Seymour Daphne offers something new and exciting.

Conditions and Requirements

The waters around Seymour Daphne are known for their excellent visibility, ranging from 10 to 30 meters (33 to 98 feet), providing a perfect opportunity for underwater photography and exploration. With a range of dive depths and moderate currents, Seymour Daphne is suitable for divers of all levels, from beginners to seasoned professionals.

Dive information:

  • 2 dives

  • Depth: 15 to 18 meters

  • Moderate current

  • 40-minute interval between dives for sandwiches, fruits and games to re-energize for the next dive.
